I’m developing several small sized and mid sized projects (from 10 men/days to 60 men/days). All aspects in the project lifecycle are under my responsibility.
I’m also providing third line support for running applications.

Here is a brief description of one of the most exciting project achieved:

My client is a famous company active in the right owner’s payment for musical work, film or anything that requires authorization to be played in Belgium. At the same time, other companies that are active in the same area -but outside Belgium- are providing, on a regular basis, listing of works and payments that need to be paid to Belgian authors. Unfortunately there are sometimes errors that need to be corrected as soon as possible in order to ensure that authors will be paid as quick as possible.
Until now this process was made manually a took lot of time and resources.
My role consist of providing a new tool that resolve those errors automatically.

I joined a team responsible for the development, enhancement and administration of a web oriented Platform. This tool is fully based on Oracle technologies (Oracle database, PL/SQL packages, XML DB, OC4J). This tool can be seen as a big data HUB/Cloud as its goal is, with high level of security, to get, keep, enrich, transfer & provide data (either one of those steps or more of them depending on the type of customer’s contract) through various kind of network protocols (web services, https, ftp, in house secure protocol…). I this context my job consist of developing new components (ETL packages, containers, publishing tools).

My customer has developed a brand new application for social housing management in Brussels based on .Net technology and Oracle database. Because the new data model they designed was completely different from the original one, they were facing big troubles when trying to migrate old data into a completely different data model.
As an Oracle expert, I developed a migration tool based on Apex technology as frontend and pl/sql packages, database modeling, implementation and administration to implement the business logic. This application was a kind of ETL tool, but end-user oriented.
Functionnaly, the business focuses on following parts
- Social housing patrimony's management (infrastructure)
- Candidates and Tenants management
- Accounting management
- Techincal management

As Oracle DBA for developers, I joined a team responsible for the management of the telephony within the European Commission. At first, the task turned around 4 axes:
- Technical support to the users
- Management of the production
- Upgrade/Development of new modules following needs
- Database administration (at developer side)
In a second time, further to the analysis of the existing, a complete revision of the application was asked by the customer. This new version allows, among others, the visualization of certain data on the intranet. For that issue, various solutions were chosen according to the wished type of interface:
- PEREGRINE (SCAuto SDK, JBuilder) for the helpdesk part of the application
- BO Webintelligence and Oracle Report 6i/9i for the reporting part
- Coldfusion mx/dreamweaver mx For the on-line publishing of certain customer’s informations

One of the most exciting was the realization of a framework intended to configure a data warehouse. I handled the customer part of this framework. It had to be available on the intranet of the company. The development part was made with Forms 6i and turned on an IIS application server.
