Context (QRM Migration to Cloud)
QRM is a critical application used across the Bank, to measure and manage the risks of
complex balance sheets and to provide essential regulatory reporting.
Anwar was part of a fixed-outcome project team from Publicis Sapient to migrate QRM
application into the Cloud (AWS).
Within the Aldermore Service Transition Team, Anwar was responsible to make sure:
✓ The new system (on AWS Cloud) is compliant &ndash in terms of legal, business and IT
requirements
✓ There is a continuity of service and support for the new system, once it is live.
These were compiled and tracked into 2 major artefacts:
1. The Service Acceptance Criteria Dashboard, that tracks every stage of the project
(from contract signature to early-life support, through design and testing), and
captures all agreements among stakeholders.
2. The Service Support Document, that compiles all relevant and agreed
documentation to support the application (its installation, upgrade procedures as
well as more functional steps like onboarding a new user, and the request
management process flows).
Roles and Responsibilities
✓ Facilitating workshops with stakeholders from various Business and IT divisions &ndash
Procurement, Service Desk, Cloud Platform, Security, IT Service Continuity, Product
Delivery and Treasury (as the main end-user team)
✓ Monitoring the project and providing guidance on cross-team checkpoints &ndash where
teams need to align and find agreement, and by when
✓ Evidencing agreements on every stage of the project
✓ Following up and updating on the service acceptance criteria throughout the
project.
✓ Documenting the request management process &ndash for incident and change requests
✓ Documenting the service support document
✓ Documenting the disaster recovery test plan and project-managing the disaster
recovery test in production &ndash with Technology and Business teams
✓ Preparing the knowledge transfer document space and coordinating walk-through /
training sessions.

Data Business Analyst Context (Lending Data Reporting)

OSB Group is composed of various retail banking brands across the UK, providing
specific lending and savings products.
Within a multi-year long &ldquoMigration to Cloud&rdquo transformation program, OSB Group had
a stream dedicated to &ldquodata refinement&rdquo. The objective was to optimize (reduce the
volume, limit redundancy and remove obsolete) its data-structures across all the
services of the Bank, before moving from on-premises to Cloud.
Attached to the Lending Lab, Anwar was working closely with a Data Scientist and
Business Architect from OSB, to define the company-wide data-dictionary for the
lending products.
Roles and Responsibilities
✓ Building a stakeholder map &ndash with key contributors from each Business unit of the
Bank
✓ Setting up a project plan and a cadence to connect with every team
✓ Connecting on regular intervals with each team to gather and review their
data/reporting needs
✓ Cross-checking with relevant teams &ndash where one team can be the consumer of data
coming from another
✓ Building and refining the list of data fields for each team &ndash making sure each field is
relevant and available in the databases
✓ Syncing daily with the data scientist and business architect &ndash to define the data
dictionary (description, type of field, content, size, etc.) and to check for any
overlapping, redundant or obsolete field
✓ Reporting to the Program Management on progress, issues, risks and blockers

AI Product Innovation Manager

Context
Member of the DB &ldquoTechnology, Data and Innovation&rdquo division, working on defining and
trialing new AI/ML capabilities for end-user solutions. Product and Project Manager for
the &ldquoIntelligent Client Email Query Management System&rdquo for Corporate and Investment
Banking use-cases.
Project based on Innovation Design-Thinking principles, made up of 3 phases:
1. Pioneer &ndash Product discovery and business stakeholder sponsoring for the usecase
2. Prove &ndash Hypotheses and proof-points definition design, build and assessment
of a proof-of-concept (PoC)
3. Professionalize &ndash Definition of the steps and timelines to transforming the PoC
into a production-level product within the bank
Achievements
✓ Gathering the needs from business stakeholders, defining and getting agreement
on the proof-points
✓ Working with third-party vendors (Microsoft and Google) to build a PoC to meet
with the proof-points
✓ Assessing the PoC on 4 axes:
&bull Desirability: Conducting end-user surveys to assess their likelihood to adopt an
end-product based on the presented PoC
&bull Viability: Creating a business case to weigh the projected savings against the
total cost of ownership of the end-product
&bull Feasibility: Trialling the PoC to ensure it meets with all business and technical
requirements
&bull Achievability: Ensuring the PoC can be deployed at scale within the bank at a
production level
✓ Conducting deep-dive Q&A sessions with stakeholders and vendors to make a
solution assessment.
✓ Handing over of a vendor/solution recommendation report, along with a program
plan for the Professionalize phase.
