Haasrode, Belgium
2009 - 2010
I have been working for 2 years at Telindus as a senior technical consultant. During this periode, I focused on the web application security, in a business innovation team.
I have been in charge of projects with multiple customers, and was responsible for the security products analyses, and comparisons for our customers. The products and solutions I was in charge of goes from web application firewalls, xml firewalls and gateways, identity and access management solutions (together with partners), and the enterprise single sign-on.
I also did a series of technical proof-of-concepts.
Next to this, I was also acting as a technical pre-sales helping to find the best solutions for our customers, but also doing some delivery like analyses, logical and technical designs, proof-of-concepts at the customer site, implemenations and troubleshooting.
Finally, I also gave a xml security training (Vordel).
I worked for customers in many vertical markets: government, healthcare and industry: banking, telecommunications, manufacturing and retail.
Senior Technical Consultant,
Telindus (Belgacom ICT) Haasrode, Belgium
2008 - 2008
I have been working for 1 year as a senior technical consultant for the Flemish government and had multiple responsibilities (architect, technical project leader and third level operational support) in these projects / platforms: web services security project, identity and access management platform and remote access platform.
Information analyst, EDS Mechelen, Belgium
2004 - 2007
I kept on working for the Flemish government when EDS-Telindus got the IT services contract, in order to assure the service continuity.
I worked for 3 years in the web portal team, in charge of the operations and projects of the web sites of the Flemish government. This was a multitier architecture, containing multiple kind of web technologies mostly based on Solaris, Oracle and Sun middleware, but also on OpenSource.
Next to this, I worked in some security infrastructure projects, intra/extra and inter-net: the technical implementation of the Access Control Management platform (using the Belgian eID and Federal Token authentication mechanisms), then later, the identity management platform (for 40.000 users), and also the remote access solution based on SSL-VPN technology.
At last, I was in charge of the security enforcement point of the Flemish elections in 2006, based on the eID technology.
I also helped in winning a contract in a federal agency by defining the security mechanisms of the web application.
System engineer, Siemens Business Services Huizingen, Belgium
2001 - 2004
During these 3 years, I worked mostly for the Flemish government. My tasks as a system engineer were to ensure that the portal site (the official web sites of this customer) were up and running, including a second line support. It was an interesting challenge to learn and be able to maintain all the different kind of technologies used in this environment, as this was a 24/7 fully HA infrastructure: Solaris 8-9 OS, iPlanet web and application servers, iplanet directory servers, iplanet portal servers, apache web, forward and reverse proxies, oracle and informix RDBMS, Mysql, Linux were the stone blocks.
After one year, I also became the technical responsible of all the Sun and iPlanet products used in this portal environment.
Coach System engineer,

1999 - 2001
First I was working in the 2nd-level operation teams for two customers: an insurance company and a bank, both in Belgium.
Then I worked as system engineer / 2nd-level support for an automotive company.
At least, I worked back for the bank as a system engineer, including hardware support.
