Career - Anti-Virus :

Since 1988, I have been involved into the Anti-virus research. My contribution has been limited to designing practical counter measure for corporate IT-users.
In 1990 I was co-founder of EICAR (the European Institute for Computer Anti-Virus Research), I have been an active member during the initial period, now I am just a member.
In 1992, I submitted a paper for the Security Conference of DPMA in New York. The paper dealt with the necessity for contingency planning was accepted and was part of the official conference documents.

For many different corporate customers (both major IT-users and providers on the IT-market) performed assignments such as :
- contingency planning on the basis of the analysis of personal computing risk factors, the design of their security strategies and implementation of tactical countermeasures,
- rescue and removal interventions,
- staff training and seminars,
Until 1992, I was the distributor of the Dr Solomon’s Toolkit in Belgium and Luxembourg, activity taken over by Data-Alert.
