  Tower College is a multinational organisation with 850 staff across its 4 locations.
  
  My work involved forming and agreeing with the client, a safe and viable strategy to migrate current sites along with content to MOSS 2007. This included designing the new MOSS architecture and implementation of the solution to tight deadlines.
  
  The solution included Sites, sub sites and content for each site (Web parts, lists etc.) as well as Groups and Permissions.
  
  Although the project started off as Migration, it soon became apparent that it would involve substantial customization to achieve the desired result. This required .NET development, MOSS and CSS skills. Amongst other tasks, I also had to deal with creation of master pages and developing the queries and web parts that render the pages.

AddWit is developing products on Microsoft Sharepoint 3, using the authoring tools and components provided by the platform. However, a number of additional software components need to be developed in code, to extend the Sharepoint platform to meet some of the functionality requirements that can not be met by the out-of-box Sharepoint platform.
  
  I am developing these components based on agreed functional specifications.
  These include:
  ● Developing extensions to the Sharepoint “Email Alerts” feature.
  ● Developing an interface for adding further notification methods in the future.
  ● Developing a mechanism to enable conditional page rendering for adapting application pages for the more limited mobile browsers.
  ● Build-time technical assistance e.g. in developing additional application components (Sharepoint Web parts) or modifying existing “out-of-the-box” components.
  ● Configuring a build environment for packaging the above as a distributable file (“Sharepoint solution”).
