Involved in the “Tata Consultancy Services” negotiations team for the concluding of an Olympic Banking System implementation and outsourcing contract between “TATA Consultancy Services” and “ABN AMRO Bank Luxembourg”, my role was mainly to take an active part and contribute to the good course of the negotiations by getting the most important technical and functional information, such as :

User Guide: General level – technical and functional, in order to help a new team to read and to be able to work in an Olympic related development for ABN AMRO Bank.
Training Manual : Intended to the development team, technical material has been required
Testing : Both parameterization and development testing procedures
Challenges with ERI Bancaire: How to be aware and resolve forseen issues.

Attached to the Hot-Line and Deployment service, my knowledge allowed me to take part of various Olympic projects implementation such as SSP Salomon Smith Barney Prime London, Morgan Stanley London, BDL Banca di Lugano, Lugano (a private bank of the UBS Group), etc.

My various tasks within these services were mainly:

Quality tests before and after setting into production
Parameter setting of the various tables, switches and id
Installation of the telecommunications module and interfaces related to software package OLYMPIC
Support in the technical field, telecommunications, securities, forex and money markets, treasury, client file, interrogation and transfer modules with the various customers all over the world
Customers and internal Training in the field of telecommunications + Olympic modules
Planning and coordination of the Swift 2000 project
Participating and advising the telecommunications projects which have to be planned and developed, following the modifications of standards, rules and laws referring to telecommunications.

Assistant to the person in charge of the Telecommunications service

Attached to the telecommunications service and back office department of the bank and its branches in Switzerland and abroad, my professional knowledge allowed me to take part of the implementation of a new telecommunications system ‘STELINK', (in replacement of 'STACHEM'), platform including Swift, Telex, Sic, Fax, telegraphic key and Bilateral keys exchange (swift authentication – encryption)

My functions within this service were mainly:

To supervise the means of telecommunications, as well the Geneva headquarters as for the branches in Switzerland and abroad.
Relation, exchange and control of telegraphic keys and/or swift authenticator (BKE) between the bank, its branches and its various correspondents.
Ensure the technical support of various specific networks in the telecommunications area.
Assistance and training to users of various telecommunication systems.
Encoding, checking and sending of all type of swift, sic and telex messages.
Participated to the tests of the year 2000.
Organization and classification of micro-cards and signature books of the various correspondents of the bank as well signatures control of the various correspondents for all banking services.
Back office tasks

Person in charge of Telecommunications department

Establishment of various softwares, technical means and/or telecommunications systems including swift Alliance (Risc 6000 – Secure X25L), TMS, R.3.2.0 VSAM of Dataware, UTA (Universal Telex Adaptor), Server etc.…

My task consisted mainly in:

Organizing and managing the team (schedules, planning of work and training), the material and logistics
To supervise the means of telecommunications: Swift, Sic, Telex, and Fax, being directly linked to telecommunications service and/or other users of the bank.
Relations and exchange of telegraphic keys and/or swift authenticators (BKE/SAK) between the bank and its various correspondents.
To ensure the technical support of the various specific networks within my sector, (control and follow-up of technical means available to detect the possible breakdowns and to solve them.
Training courses within the different services of the back-office of the bank (Money transfers, reconciliation, nostri controls, stock exchange, etc.)

Installation of swift st200 system
Encoding, checking, correcting, sending and receiving messages going through swift, telex and fax, then sending to the concerned services.
Relations and exchanges of swift authenticator keys (sak) within the various correspondents.

Telex operator, Telephone operator, Receptionist

To ensure the telex traffic and telephone of all the company, as well as welcoming the customers at the reception.
