Recruited by Fujitsu in 2012 and 2013 with the mission to devise an approach to a challenging contract. Tasked with hosting and managing the entire European Infrastructure of Bridgestone – migrating IT systems from Hewlett Packard to new UK centralized facilities, Fujitsu soon realized this was a perilous exercise. Changing the strategic perspective of this from ‘server’ to ‘system’ enabled a new focus and paved the way to deal with business prioritization, interdependencies between systems, migration risks, business risks and planification of migration batches and testing - while maintaining business continuity. The project encompassed successful migration and systems management of the 1400 servers and 160 core applications from data centers across Europe in tandem with planning and controlling activities in Europe, Russia and India support centers. In another assignment Project Manager to oversee a MS Navision pan European re-deployment.
Hired to turn around numerous late projects; including with FOREM, Belgacom and Federal Police where a complete restructure of the teams and projects enabled a common vision to be realized and the ultimate project goals to be reached.
Successful track record managing geographically fragmented teams; recently coordinated activities between staff in Kazan, Russia, Pune India, London and Brussels for a significant migration project. With Hewlett Packard, also managed several teams located in France, Germany and Holland.
Successfully reorganized and managed numerous electronic payments projects for Atos Worldline – Banksys including petrol payment cards, migration of credit card processing applications and deployment of new POS terminals.
As Infrastructure Architect with ING Bank, validated the technical infrastructure requirements for new development and maintenance projects and improved existing systems using a Six Sigma approach.
Outstanding planning and organizational agility; consistent resolve and capacity to surmount the biggest obstacles - from organizing events to handling security breaches in a data centre to reorganizing a project or business. In the early 2000’s, organized, hosted and performed in a live music event within only 10 hours notice to 2000 people outside the European Parliament.
As Architect with ICTRA/SNCB, successfully coordinated the project to upgrade or replace several legacy applications and improve performance and integration quality for the Belgian railways company.
Continuously increases capacity to build valuable, progressive working relationships, demonstrating skill in rejuvenating diminished relationships and bringing parties together. With Belgacom in 2008, recognized their reputation in the industry for asking companies for bids then changing their minds which led to consulting companies ceasing to invest money in replying for calls to tender. Reached out and effectively re-established relationships with key players including CSC and Accenture.
With the Belgian Federal Police, took over and managed an unstructured project for a bespoke geographical information system, incorporating all levels of maps of the Belgian territory. Bought the project back on track, delivering it on time and in budget.
As Consultant with MasterCard International; redesigned and implemented MasterCard’s software to manage the routing and processing functions of the credit card authorization and validation network.
Talent for putting together systems that are self sustaining and capable of continuing with no further intervention. With the Belgian Post, designed a new system for printing and delivering postage stamps. 12 years on, it is still in production and is the only IT system in place from that period.
