‘SAP Business Objects Developer’ at ADP
juillet 2012 - janvier 2017
ADP provides for customers a BI solution called ‘Human Resource Intelligence’ based on their payroll and human resources data. It
allows them to have any kind of reports about these topics (all kind of information about workforce, contracts, experience, absence,
salaries, payroll…)
My role is to setup ‘Human Resource Intelligence’ for ADP customers in order to help them making future decisions. This includes:
● Building of a Data warehouse in order to host all data coming from payroll and human resources systems.
● Design of ETL scenarios in order to feed the Data warehouse with data. This includes cleansing the data, perform any modification
when needed (transcoding, integrate data from different sources to one destination…).
● Design of rule-based auditor to test the viability of simple ETL tasks.
● Using SAP Business Objects platform, create universes based on the Data warehouse schema and enhance learning and
information discovery by designing dashboards and reports (Web Intelligence and Desktop Intelligence) for use while making
decisions.
● Managing the resources, users, connections, and the Universe repository, Management tasks related to Business Objects. When the
solution is implemented and is working, the customers are granted access to the ADP Business Objects platform to view or create
their own reports and dashboards.

‘SAP Business Objects Technical Support Engineer’ at SAP
octobre 2009 - juillet 2012
During this experience I was a member of SAP technical support team (in Tunisia offshore site) that provides support services for
Business Objects customers (𠆏ocus International’ is doing offshore for ‘SAP’). My mission is to help customers find solutions to a
various number and kind of incidents: Administration (CMC, CCM), Security (CMC), Managing users and accounts (CMC),
connection to system and reports databases issues (on Windows and Linux environments), all kind of Deployment and installation
problems (on both Windows and Linux environments), creating universes (Designer and IDT) and reports (Web and Desktop
Intelligence using Infoview, Webi Rich Client and Desktop Intelligence):
● Problems troubleshooting: technically assist SAP Business Objects customers. Interact with them and take in charge their incidents
and reclamations.
● Animate web and phone conferences (Net viewer and WebEx sessions): I interact with customers by email (through SAP CRM),
phone and Net viewer/WebEx sessions, which are a mean that allow me to remotely access the customers environments and help
them to resolve the problem encountered.
● Set up and tune customers’ platforms (BO servers, web servers...) in order to improve performance.
● Deploy and install Business Objects environments on virtualized test servers (VMWare Lab Manager): I am able to install the
product on different operating systems (Windows, Linux and UNIX) and deploy the web applications on different Web Application
Servers. In my role as technical support consultant, I should be able to perform such tasks in order to support the customers when
the found difficulties to perform them.
● Administer and manage Business Objects security: Mastering administration tasks creating Business Objects enterprise accounts,
managing users and groups, rights, publications, maintain servers, management of security and access levels to the various entities
(reports, folders, applications…)
● Design of Web intelligence and Desktop intelligence reports. Scheduling reports and resolving connectivity problems: the reports
to design are for internal use, for example if I need to test a behavior of Web Intelligence in particular cases/configurations…I’m
able to create reports and test it. Or when the customer needs assistant to create audit reports (based on tivity’ universe), it’s me
who create the report for him or show him what to do exactly.
● Design universes with 𠆋usiness objects Designer’. For internal use or when assisting the customer to do some tasks or resolve
issues.
● Migration process to BO XI and BI 4.0 versions: When BI 4.0 was released, one of the most important tasks I did is to help
customers using BO XI3.1 and XI R2 to migrate to BI 4.0. So, I have a good idea about the migration process to this new version.
