My first working experience with monitoring go back to 1990, when i started working with Candle Corp. At the time, Candle was developing and selling the Omagamon monitors for the IBM Mainframe environment. These monitors later evolved to the Candle Distributed Monitoring tools. In 2004, IBM acquired Candle and continued to develop and market this software as Tivoli Monitoring (ITM).
