11/2000- 1/2002 PROXIMUS (BELGACOM MOBILE), Belgium: PROXIMUS is the main actor in the mobile sector in Belgium. The mission is a role of senior C++ software analyst, project manager and team leader of 5 persons. The work is to maintain and to develop new functionalities on the commissioning system PROVIS. PROVIS computes the commissions to pay the sale forces from the billing system PNI. PROVIS is run monthly and is divided in 22 use cases. Some use cases are resources intensive and their duration can last up to one week. The design of the database and the optimization of SQL queries are critical to the success of the application. The database runs on Sybase 12. Software improvement necessitates writing detail design document in English. As a consultant, I have to analyze the requirement of the finance department.

 Design of a new database access library with rational rose and the formalism UML. The new library generates SQL query with the flush operator "<<". This library encapsulates the Sybase Client Library (ct library).
 Bad payer and claw back extraction process are programmed with rogue wave (DBTools.h++ and Tools.h++) and had to be replaced by a new database library that I have developed.
 Migration of RWCString class and collection class (array, list) of Tools.h++ on classes develop with the STL library.
 Performance analysis of SQL query comparing rogue wave, the CT-Lib and DB-Lib
 Maintenance action on SQL query in order to correct the sale force list, claw back due to sale force switch, filter.
 Development of bad payer extracting use case. The use case includes a complex transact SQL query with a sub-query, join, triggers, stored procedures, cursors. Performance issue on the production database implies to change the database schema and action of index optimization.
 Migration of PROVIS database from the Sybase 11.5 to Sybase 12
 Development and change of the database schema for the development of a product tracker which groups commission by cost.

2/1998- 10/2000 SUNGARD INVESTMENT SYSTEMS, Switzerland:
Sungard (5000 employees) is an American software editor in the finance sector. I work in the Switzerland branch of Sungard (40 software engineers), which develops front and back office products named respectively APSYS and SIMS. SIMS is a portfolio management system. SIMS run on Windows and is a Client/Server application with the server APSYS. My job was to program and design the GUI interface. The GUI interface of SIMS is similar to MS Excel. SIMS organizes portfolio according to investment model based on grid of asset (MPT: Modern Portfolio Theory). SIMS offers the automatic control of the portfolio to the model and proposes to generate orders automatically if the portfolio becomes different of the model due to market fluctuation. SIMS offers the possibility to hedge the portfolio with short orders and the use of derivative. SIMS also manages arbitrage orders.
 Debugging of APSYS algorithm of yield and duration calculus of fix income securities.
 Improving of a sheet grid presentation of SIMS by programming multiple windowing and splitting functionality in MFC and Visual C++ 6.0. Programming multiple coloured font management. Improving the display performance.
 Conception and developing of a navigation viewer of SIMS documents. The viewer includes a tree viewing and a list viewing and is similar to Windows Explorer
 Development of a finder windows (similar to the Find of Windows 95)
 Maintenance and development of various dialog box, contextual menu, resizing, , ...
 Portage of grids object from Widgets to standard MFC dialog box

Schlumberger is an American company of 100 000 people selling product and service for petroleum company. I work in a service of 9 persons (including 5 contract workers) developing three prototypes of a new software product line in order to monitor and analyze data of petrol well. I was a software developer of one of a prototype in order to do graphic analysis.
 Writing in English of specification and implementation documents of a software database management on a client /server architecture with DCOM.
 Technical studying about implementation of COM, OLE, OLE Automation, compatibility between a JAVA client and a COM server.
 Implementation of the database access to an Oracle database through ODBC (MFC et Visual C++).
 Developing of OLE server capabilities in order to make a Copy Paste Link in text and graphic format to Excel to MFC / ILOG Views application.
 Migration of an ILOG Views application to a MFC frame.

1994-98 DASSAULT SYSTEMES, France:
Dassault Systemes is one of the biggest software editor of the world (1200 software engineers). Dassault Systemes develops the CAD/CAM product line named CATIA. CATIA is marketed by IBM to plane manufacturer (Boeing, ...) and car manufacturer ( BMW, Chrysler, Honda, Mercedes, Renault, ...). CATIA has 70 % of the plane manufacturing CAD/CAM market and 40 % of the car manufacturing CAD/CAM market. CATIA is also a C++ platform development ( like the MFC). Thus, CATIA customers develop new applications. I was software engineer at DASSAULT SYSTEMES in the 11 people service in charge of porting CATIA on a new platform, developing korn shell building procedure and the specification of the base of the COM architecture of CATIA V5.

 Developing of C++ on AIX, HP-UX, IRIX, Sun and Windows NT of COM mechanisms basis in CATIA V5,
 Portage and migration multi-processing functionality, call-backs and focus management of CATIA from Unix to Windows NT,
 GUI interface of the trace management tool in CATIA V5 Dialog interface encapsulating Unix MOTIF and Windows MFC.
 Maintenance and migration of programs in Unix shell script in order to build and compile modules MTGII and CATGEO of CATIA V4.
