SYBASE J’ai fournis un support pour l’administration des databases, sizing, refresh.

With the RAPT (Parisian Transport I was in charge of the administration of the company databases.
In the production site, as senior database administrator, I was responsible for:
 maintaining and supporting multiple Oracle instances 7 to 9i
 installing Oracle RDBMS 8.1.7 9.2 on UNIX / W2000,
 Migrating Oracle databases 7.3.4 to 8.1.7.
 Monitoring and tuning Pro-active scripts + BMC tools.
 Backup and recovery (tivoli + rman).
 Some SQL-SERVER 6.5/7 tasks, Installing / Monitoring).

With Philip Morris Information Systems for ASIA, our team looked after the Oracle, SQL Server and SYBASE databases.
- 50 Oracle instances (300G) on AIX, NT, W2K version 7.3.4 and 8i.
- 15 SQL Server databases version 6.5 and 7.
- 5 SYBASE on Unix AIX.

My position was as DBA for both production and development environments. Specific duties included:
- Installation of Oracle 8.1.6 and 8.1.7 on Unix (AIX) and NT. Design set up sizing for DEV/TEST/PROD.
- Migration of Oracle 7.3.4 to 8i and Designer 1.3.2 and 2.1.2 to 6i.
- Backup and recovery, I implemented/designed/developed a backup strategy using Control/M, TIVOLI.
- Monitoring of database, security, tuning, and performance.
- Sizing and space monitoring.
- Support / consultant for the development teams.
- Maintenance and support for forms 4,4.5 and reports 2.5.
- Database installation for software like SIEBEL/DATASTAGE/BO/LIMS.

- I created and maintained backup procedures and implemented this functionality across all SQL Server databases to comply with company requirements.

February 1999 - November 1999 IBM / SSIA (Riga, Latvia)
On this project I was a team leader in charge of the development for the National Social Security of Latvia.
I performed the analysis for both the Contribution System and the Personal Account System for use by the entire country (2.5 million people). Then I took charge of the database administration for the Development team and Designer 2000 administration. This function also included version control.

September 1998 - January 1999 EDS / PPG SUN Micro systems
At EDS, I assisted the DBA team in the maintenance and installation of ORACLE FINANCIALS.
During my time at Sun Micro systems in France, I performed the auditing of different Databases, ORACLE Version 7 or 8. The audit was done in order to improve the performance and the security of the databases. My role also included providing assistance to the DBA.

- As a consultant, I was in the maintenance team as a DBA solving all problems on ORACLE (administration).
- I also performed/monitored the loading of the different Data warehouses for the company.
- Maintenance of many applications including programs in C and Forms 2.3.
- Production support for the rating and billing system for the network services 200G database

January 1997 - October 1997 Step To Web (Tremblay En France)
As I was very interested by the Web, I created Step To Web, an entity to provide services on the INTERNET. I was in charge of the network, the Web server (Netscape) and the development of the applications.

September 1993 - October 1996 Hannover Insurance (Paris)
Software integration: POLIS 2000.
Migration from databases ORACLE to INGRES, VMS to Unix.

I integrated this German insurance company to recreate the whole insurance application (SIEMENS, COBOL) to Digital, ORACLE tools forms V2 V3 reports. As a data modeler and developer with the direction of accounting management, I developed the cashing system and the legal reports for the insurance premium. Then I developed the application for the claim department and the broker’s accounts for the company, and also the premium statistics application.

For COSI Company (IT) and for OPAC (estate Agency) I performed a programmer role. I participated in the integration of DOMUS Estate software. I also completed the statistics for the tenants and the applicants along with water management

April 1989 to August 1990: IM Paris.
IM (Maintain Software) was my first experience in IT as a programmer. I participated in the development of one of the first tools for reverse engineering. I wrote screens in forms V2 and reports. It was an ORACLE version 5 database.
