Social Venture startup of a Janitorial Service serving the Durham community operated by residents:
- Presented a Business Plan at the Yale Business School 2nd Competition for Social Entrepreneurship (********.asp),
- Started the venture (total budget of $54,000) with the double bottom line:
o Aligned with the homeless shelter mission, provide employment opportunities and work history to selected residents of the shelter
o Generate resources for the shelter to make it less dependant on other traditional funding sources
- After a year of operations, CleanSweep has produced some social success stories and is in the path of financial break-even, with 2 full time employees, and with over 6 residents involved

Strategy:
- Bids and proposals: selection, pre-sales, proposal design and final presentation of projects corresponding to 30% in revenues (average project size of 300KЄ)
- Initiated Knowledge Management on specific competencies (including seminars, partnership, intelligence business) such as Web Servers, J2EE techniques and Speech Technologies.
