Function Subsystems Co-ordinator
Electrocomponents PLC, contract extension- Europe
janvier 2007 - juin 2007
Technical Co-ordinator, interim Technical Manager
Location Corby, UK - Madrid, Spain - Amsterdam, Holland - Dublin, Ireland - Copenhagen, Denmark
I continued to support the EBS roll-out across the remaining 4 of Electrocomponents’ 12 European Operating Companies (OpCo’s). For this 6th release (R6), I kept the position of 𠇎uropean Subsystem Co-ordinator”, ensuring that the warehousing subsystems in France, UK, Germany and Italy, already linked to the EBS platform, would not be adversely impacted by the R6 changes.
For this release, I also co-ordinated the complex EBS printing solution (interfaces between SAP, HP Output Server - HPOS- & Enterprise Form Solutions -EFS- and the warehousing subsystems) and acted as interim Technical Manager preparing a Business Volume Test (BVT) across the 12 OpCo’s simultaneously.
In this role, I had to ensure that the business requirement for this test was covered across all the technical landscape: SAP (MM, WM, FI, EH&S), Printers, interface to subsystems (Enterprise Application Integration -EAI- / Websphere, print servers / HPOS & EFS, e-commerce / Broad Vision, CCS, WMS) and managed 50+ persons.

Electrocomponents PLC, contract extension
mars 2006 - janvier 2007
- Europe, Technical Co-ordinator.
Location Corby, UK - Beauvais, France - Milan, Italy - Frankfurt, Germany - Gmund, Austria
I joined the Electrocomponents central project team with System and Technology to upgrade the first EBS release in France and to continue its implementation across 3 of the Electrocomponents 12 European OpCo’s. The UK based team rolled out the previously designed template for R4 & R5. One of my roles was to co-ordinate the actions of 2 local project managers in Germany and Italy. I also ensured that the other warehousing sub systems in France and UK, already linked to the EBS platform, would not be impacted by the R5 changes.
The German and Italian WMS (Warehouse Management System) were interfaced with SAP through third party software (Enterprise Application Integration -EAI- / Websphere) and I supervised its enhancement and testing.
For this release, I was also responsible for the SAP printing solution, ensuring that the 3 Operating Companies had the relevant printers installed on time and that the output determination (mapping of SAP output to the relevant printer across Europe) in SAP would be in line with the business requirement
I was acting as technical co-ordinator and business liaison in this role.

RS Components Ltd, contract extension
février 2006 - mars 2006
I supported RS Components UK Operations in their post go-live improvement process in analysing the failures and issues, liaising with the technical and template team and proposing and facilitating enhancements, both in SAP or process improvement. I held a role as technical adviser to the business and as business interface with the technical team.

RS Components Ltd
mars 2004 - février 2006
I joined the RS Components delivery project team with System and Technology during the realisation phase of the EBS implementation in UK. I was responsible for the project management of the VanDerLande CCS (Conveyor Control System) replacement and for its interface with SAP. I was also responsible for the interfacing of the warehousing sub-systems with SAP WM through third party software (Enterprise Application Integration -EAI- / Websphere).
In addition I supported the central project team in the analysis and design of the “to-be” business processes. The UK project team added detail to a global design template that it had previously led in designing. I facilitated the running of workshops and meetings with senior process owners and ITMs (Implementation Team Members). A major part of my remit was helping in the configuration of R/3.
As project manager of the CCS implementation, I was responsible for the delivery - on time and in budget (over £400K) - of the upgrade of the former CCS and the interfacing with SAP R/3. I produced and maintained a complex and consolidated project plan using MS Project. I established and supervised the project documentation such as Project Initiation Document (PID), Investment Proposal (IP), Technical Requirements, Functional Design Specifications (FDS), test scripts (including data requirements), as well as all the various communications with the project 𠇌ustomers” and other project stakeholders.
I worked directly for the UK Logistics Programme Manager and managed a team of 5 people. I also managed the subcontractor (VanDerLande Industries) and occasionally, during the test phases, 10+ project resources.

Project Manager
mars 2002 - mars 2004
The EBS project is a European wide initiative implementing a SAP based ERP solution across Electrocomponents’ twelve operating companies.
I supported the realisation and design of the local warehousing and logistics aspects of the project, based on a SAP R/3 solution. The design included RDT solutions using SAP console, as well as interfaces to the WMS and the CCS.
I also assisted the UK based Project Manager with the replacement of the Siemens Dematic CCS, responsible for the interfaces with SAP WM. I was in charge of liaison/communication between the British project manager and the French stakeholders, as well as ensuring that the requirements of the French business were totally covered in the specifications. I was heavily involved in the blueprint.
The project role also comprised the co-ordination and execution of the CCS and SAP testing between the SAP core team and local resources, setting up the training courses for the new CCS and delivering them to the end users.
