FIMAT is a Broker Firm on derivative and cash markets, it is present in many Capitals cities worldwide: Paris, New York, Chicago, Frankfurt, Madrid, Hong Kong, Sydney, Montreal and London, and provides a heterogeneous E-trading system to several customers (Brokers and dealers).
The System consists of order routing and data markets: GL Trade, Patsytem, Orcsys TTsystem, FIX via Ulllink Bridge, Fimatrade
Duties:
Application, UNIX and Network infrastructure management:
• Provided technical expertise and guidance in areas of system capabilities and design resources.
• Performed the analysis, design, implementation and maintenance of enterprise UNIX servers and network.
• Administered and maintained change management for UNIX systems and network infrastructure.
• Maintained security to ensure system integrity and maximum availability.
• Assisted in the building and configuration of servers, racks, and related server infrastructure equipment.
• Planned, prioritized, controlled and performed functional changes, enhancements and updates to ensure maximum uptime and systems integrity.
• Identified inadequate or inefficient systems and suggested alternatives to reduce cost and/or increase efficiency
• Developed, documented, maintained and performed annual disaster recovery drills to reaffirm documented procedures and minimize downtime in the event of server failure.

Oracle, Sybase and MSSQL management:

• Monitored relational databases to optimize database performance, resource use, and physical implementations of the databases; addressed a variety of database integration issues including migration between disparate databases, integration, maintenance/conversion, planning issues, and new applications.
