Technical Lead - Capital Markets

We are looking for a Tech Lead to join a mission-critical Middle Office platform supporting trading and portfolio operations within a major Capital Markets environment.

This role sits at the center of the post-trade ecosystem, covering allocation workflows, trade lifecycle, and position management, while driving the modernisation of the platform toward a Python-first architecture.

You will combine production leadership, system reliability, and strategic transformation projects in a high-impact environment.

Role:

• Own critical post-trade systems
• Become quickly operational on Middle-Office allocation workflow
• Manage the post-trade chain: trade → allocation → positions → cost & risk impact
• Ensure the continuity and reliability of the allocation platform

Production leadership

• Lead major production incidents end-to-end

• Deliver actionable Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and ensure fixes are implemented

• Improve monitoring, alerting, and operational processes

Drive Python-first modernisation

• Lead migration of business logic from Oracle / PL-SQL to Python

• Deliver structural refactors improving maintainability and robustness

• Reduce technical debt across allocation and production systems

Enable operations & support

• Build delegation frameworks with Front-Support / Operations teams

• Create runbooks, incident notebooks, and documentation

• Improve operational autonomy through monitoring and guardrails

Contribute to strategic execution programs

• Participate in major Capital Markets initiatives around execution and allocation platforms

• Identify dependencies, risks, and integration points

• Help secure robust production releases

Skills needed:

10–15+ years experience working on critical systems in Capital Markets

Strong knowledge of Middle-Office / Post-Trade processes

Proven ability to work on complex trading systems in production

Strong technical background in Python and system design

Experience interacting with Trading Support, Operations, and Portfolio teams

Fluency in both English and French

Nice to have:

• Experience migrating Oracle / PL-SQL systems to Python

• Experience with allocation or execution platforms

• Experience using GenAI tools for engineering productivity

Location: This job is based in Paris, on a hybrid set-up (3 days onsite, 2 days at home).
