Acted as Global APO Lead & Architect for Samsonite Worldwide to three regions globally (America, Europe & Asia), providing expertise for a Global Template, reporting directly to Chief Information Officer (CIO), Chief Sourcing Officer (CSO) and Management Board (including CVC Venture Capital and RBSC).
- Assessed requirements for Sales & Operations Planning across all three regions against existing technology and planning methods.
- Provided results of study including Preliminary solution to C-level representatives and regional IT directors along with assessment of scoping of Processes by management consulting company.
- Created Global Roll-out Strategy to business for Asia (4 clusters of 12 Countries), Europe (25 Countries) and North America (3 Countries) along with future opportunities for South America. These Roll-Outs closely followed implementations of SAP AFS (Apparel & Footwear Solution) for client with heavy dependencies with SAP SD & MM modules.
- Advised Management Group to build a Global Sourcing Office (GSO) and a Global Consolidation Platform (GCP) for Samsonite Worldwide located in both Hong Kong and Ningbo, China. Demonstrated an initial Prototype for the Worldwide Network (GSO Solution) in both APO DP and SNP.
- Built Global Consolidation Platform with APO SNP to aggregate Net Requirements from Regions and Countries to realize Optimization savings from Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ) and Economic Order Quantities (EOQ). Production Version of Consolidation Platform went Live in October 2008 with full Cutover of All Global SKUs including Samsonite Black Label (Luxury Brand).
- Consolidated Requirements for Global Template that incorporated both S&OP and GSO needs via Workshops in Regional Offices (Brussels, Boston & Hong Kong).
- Provided a working demo of GATP for the Global Template incorporating a combination of the Rules-Based Basic Methods of Product Availability Check & Product Allocation.
- Demonstrated GATP to Business Groups on a Global Level. Alternative Locations were defined and used.
- Determined Global Processes for both S&OP and GSO which were reflected in the APO tool, enabling Global Planning using a CTM based solution matching Demand with Supply.
- Conducted Workshops for both Supply Planning and Demand Planning groups along with new Global Planning Groups.
