1. Full responsibility for new implementations:
Full implementations J.D.Edwards Finance modules (also with distribution and manufacturing)
Do kick off meetings: Agree on teams, responsibilities, timeschedule, goals ...
Give full key-user training: G/L, A/B, A/P, A/R, F/A, Job Cost, Manuf. acctng.
- Organise key-user training session to explain links from other modules (AAIs)
- Organise Conference room pilot: Build model company with trained users
Use this company to process most complex accounting processes and update it.
- Organise end-user training, help key-users establish simple training material
- Prepare and follow up on data conversion (G/L balances, A/R and A/P open items) mostly from SAP to JDE or vice versa
Go-live support on-site
After go-live support: Set up for user-security by task/department, set up of personalized menus by user-profile/functional task/department. Function segregation set up for S.O.Compliance

These were projects like Busak and Shamban (2 years, ALL JDE modules,420 users), Rhone-Poulenc (6 months and then each month 2 days), Smithkline Beecham (6 months), American Home Products (2 years for Belgium and Netherlands sites) and Deutsche Carbone A.G. full implementation of all J.D.Edwards modules finance and logistics.

These projects where pan-European. (Set up at corporate and then roll out to affiliates.)
This includes project management work like weekly Status Reports for management
so they are informed what is done, planned and sometimes Items for management attention.

2. On-going support Live customers:
Duties included:
Check and solve integrity issues (A/R-G/L, A/P- G/L, Inventory reconciliation)
Set up legal journals for local requirements (Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, Italy)
Set up necessary VAT reports for local requirements (All countries)
Create or change financial reports
Guide customers through external audits
One project was to change to a new Chart of accounts, all modules involved
Produce user documentation on complicated things in JDE
Assist customers with software upgrades
Hotline support for EMEA in 4 perfect languages (Budget-rent-a-car EMEA)
Bug checking, JDE Knowledge garden search or Response line JDE U.K. and Denver, organize for necessary fixes
At 3 customers the accounting knowledge was so low users asked me how to book something (No issue since I am certified accountant)
Create guides for global or European roll out projects
Update data in corrupted files
Set up interfaces like automatic payment set up, Hyperion upload for reporting
Organise and perform Euro-conversions on World and One-World software
