Key projects included:
• Primary Market: Design and implementation of a new Primary Market product type to fill up order books during subscription periods, and then commit to trades at the given date. This significantly impacted the trading system (UTP), the referential data engine (Matrix), data capture and statistics (BDM). Managed the follow up of the development process and took corrective actions as needed. To ensure smooth rollout scenario definition and implementation, minimise risk and avoid market disruption.
• BDM Derivatives: Design and implementation of a new data capture information system for Business Statistics & Data Intelligence regarding Continental Derivatives, based on the existing solution for Cash. Reduced manpower requirement to maintain new system by 90% compared to the old BIS system.
Design of the new IBM Netezza hardware environment and smooth system migration scheduling.
• CCG Latency: Implementation of a new technical solution to improve performance regarding members’ connection to the quotation engine. Worked closely with IT teams and business representatives to define an efficient rollout scenario that mitigated risks, maintained fairness between members and took into account the technical and human restraints.
• Smarts Upgrade: Design and implementation of the new platform hosting the Market Control and Integrity system. Coordinated smooth migration of data to the new system. Proposed and validated the new hardware platform, allowing a saving of US$1m on the initial planned storage solution with no loss of performance. Also identified and mitigated risks, and defined the Proof of Concept approach and a rollout scenario.

• Responsible for the design and implementation of a new methodology to follow up the workstreams in progress across four datacentre sites (#5,000m2, >10MW), following ITIL practice management guidelines.
• Managed a team of four engineers, responsible for coordinating their activities to ensure they were able to perform their duties effectively. Also managed all specialist subcontractors.
• Scope of work included operations control and validation, sensitive hardware and full sites removal, infrastructure solutions design and implementation, rationalisation, consolidation and urbanisation.

Programme Manager
• Responsible for providing project management support for the implementation of a major international messaging project to improve processes and provide support for project owners. This was a unique group messaging and collaborative system, and was the first time that the organisation had managed an IT project at group level.
• Coordinated the project across 26 group companies on 150 sites worldwide, covering over 60,000 mailboxes.
• Acted as the organisation’s representative on the project, responsible for daily liaison with all IT departments to oversee the entire implementation, ensuring that the project ran to schedule. Managed all queries and provided solutions as required. Presented regular progress reports to the Planning Director, and administered the change management board.

Corporate Manager
• Responsible for managing a range of financial applications and web services programs in Europe in order to coordinate business needs. Proposed a series of target solutions and coordinated the design and implementation of the projects from inception through to delivery.
