Since 2004, I work as “freelance” in the company I founded, Cusae. I acquired some extra-technical competences doing this: accounting, managing, validating and modifying contracts with customers and suppliers, and relationships with the french administration.

Some selected missions over the years:
• Since 2009: Hosting and outsourcing of platforms
– Management and hosting of numerous platforms (mostly Debian, a few Gentoo) for clients (M21 Editions, KDP
Groupe, NetAnswer, etc), using redundant technologies (DRBD, iSCSI, MySQL master/master, bonding, etc)
– In partnership with Eulerian, development of their own network, dispatched between two distant datacenters, with a redundant black fiber between them, and creation of their AS (50234). Management of the RIPE forms, and the RIPE db; configuration of pairs of Cisco 6500 and 3560 to ensure maximum availability and redundancy (BGP, eBGP/iBGP, OSPF/OSPFv3); network in full IPv4 and Ipv6; management of the peering relationships on Equinix-IX (for now).

• 2008-2009: mission for Bred (french bank)
– Architecture, implementation and deployment on production of the IPAB system (web service of online account
statements for their customers, with secure SSL access) (Linux RedHat « home », Apache reverse proxy, Apache,
SSL, MySQL, PHP, LAMP, jailbox, chroot, NFS, heartbeat, bonding, iptables; bash scripting of production
batches)

• 2006-2007: mission for Europages (french business directory)
– Complete overhaul of their mail systems, ensuring for availability and redundancy (FreeBSD, Postfix, Courier-
IMAP, WebMAIL, MySQL)

• Miscellaneous over the years:
– A number of “firefighting” missions, ranging from broken servers due to bad updates, to software deployment
across multiple educational institutions, and going through the installation of a fax-server using Hylafax.

2000-2002: Network and system adminitrator, Profile For You
– Responsibility for the system and network team, reporting to the IT director
– Interaction with the development team, working at finding common grounds
– management of suppliers and hardware
– platform used Cisco switches for access, and Foundry ServerIrons for load-balancing
– multiple MySQL servers in master/slave state
– Management of the development servers, test, pre-production and production servers (deported to the Colt datacenter
in Paris)
– Setup of a backup solution for firewalls, internal and external network, RAID servers for the DB, and encrypted
tunnels for secure communications

1999-2000: System administrator, Certix/Worldnet (ISP)
– First approach of work and of the Internet from a provider view
– deployment of a proof of concept platform to replace the previous mail servers under the supervision of a senior
administrator (F. Nguyen)
– Study for servers for the Kobby platform (epager)
