Power BI Senior Developer

Nous recherchons pour l'un de nos clients industriels dans un contexte internationnal un Power BI Senior Developer CRM Dynamics 365 sur la Défense.

The Role :

The Power BI Developer designs and delivers reliable, business-oriented dashboards and KPIs based primarily on Dynamics 365 Sales and Customer Service data. The role requires the ability to understand business needs quickly, then translate them into KPIs, and deliver results efficiently.

• Understand the D365 data model (and underlying business models).
• Design Power BI semantic models and dashboards.
• Define and implement relevant business KPIs. Three existing sources will be considered:

1.  Existing PowerBI “Sales Pulse” dashboard, already developed by the CRM Development Team, that could be considered as a functional & technical starting point for new Dashboards
2.  Ambitious KPI roadmap designed by the Business Owner, that will be used as a mock-up, with the necessity to identify priorities and development releases
3. Detailed assessment done by the CRM team (business & IT) about one key KPI dealing with 5-years Sales Forecast, mixing different Sales Data (from short-term won Quotes, to mid-Terms pending Opportunities, to Long Term “Value-Creation Plan” and “Market Traction analysis on Business as-usual”: The Senior PBI developer will have to understand then master these business concepts, for efficient Business need translation into KPIs).
4. Execution efficiency is key, as some KPIs must be operational at the end of October (Development deadline), to be finalized then demonstrated during the Yearly Lynxeo Convention (mid-November). The capacity to properly estimate and manage the execution timeframe is a must-have, as there must be no delay. 
5. “Design to planning” approach must be considered right from the start.
6. Commitment taken must be respected, considering the deadlines.

Key Responsibilities :

The role combines Power BI development, CRM data understanding, business analysis and Agile delivery.

• Design, build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Develop robust semantic models using Power Query and DAX.
• Connect Power BI to Dynamics 365 Sales and Customer Service data.
• Work with Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, Activities, Cases and related CRM entities.
• Define KPIs for pipeline, revenue, conversion, win/loss, sales cycle, forecast accuracy and sales activity.
• Validate data quality, consistency, traceability and reconciliation with source systems.
• Optimise report performance, usability and access rules.
• Document data sources, transformations, relationships and KPI definitions.
• Present dashboards and analytical results to business stakeholders.
• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Take ownership of backlog items and deliver rapidly without compromising quality.

Required Skills and Experience :

The candidate should combine strong Power BI skills with enough CRM and business understanding to produce actionable reporting.

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of professional experience in Power BI development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query and DAX.
• Solid knowledge of data modelling and star-schema principles.
• Good understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and/or Customer Service data models.
• Good understanding of Sales processes and commercial performance challenges.
• Ability to define reliable, relevant, evidence-based and impactful KPIs.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and execute rapidly.
• Strong adaptability in a changing and fast-growing organisation.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

Additional experience in the following areas would be valuable.

• Experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement implementations.
• Experience with Dataverse and Dynamics 365 APIs or data export mechanisms.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git or Power Platform ALM practices.
• Knowledge of Power BI workspaces and deployment pipelines.
• Knowledge of Power Automate or Power Apps.
• Experience with SQL, data warehouses, Azure Data Factory or Azure Synapse.
• Microsoft Power BI or Dynamics 365 certifications.
