Duties:
• Development of electronic training courses (e.g. ********/)
• Development of electronic reference manuals on Drying of Rice: ********.htm , Storage or Rice: ********.htm and Post harvest machine technology.
• Development of the new design the Rice Knowledge Bank site, which led to a more intuitive website that allows people to easier locate information, as well as keeping the site up-to-date. The Rice Knowledge Bank is an electronic and web-based repository of up-to-date information of rice-related training and extension for rice farmers, researchers and extension agents. (see ******** )
• Providing training support and providing training method consultation to IRRI’s staff.
• Capturing of scientific training materials in an appropriate educational form (e.g. training modules, reference manuals). Developed the Rice Production Course Manual.
• Development of agricultural extension and training materials, (e.g. manual with guidelines for the production of extension materials, see ********.htm).
• IRRI’s responsible to the CGIAR training community of practice in developing a common platform to generate and share training resources (CGIAR learning objects repository and learning management system).
• Co-author (with Mark Bell & David Shires) of presentation on “The Knowledge Bank: A work in progress Rice” given at the 2005 ACE meeting at the University of the Philippines, Los Baños (UPLB) on the 19th of October 2005.
• Organization of workshops e.g. IRRI Post production training e-course in Yangon, Myanmar (24-26 April, 2006) & Vientiane, Laos (10-12 May, 2006) (see article: ********-learning.asp).

Duties: Responsible for the development, implementation and execution of the “Dutch language and culture” project at two international schools in Hanoi, Vietnam.
