Assistance to the group’s Telco operating companies, on the level of support tools and modeling, in the operation of their new convergent bearer-networks (CPN architecture).
• Analyzed the requirements to meet by network-modeling tools for use in capacity-planning of unified IP-MPLS networks carrying the traffics of 3G mobile networks (VoIP, Data, control-plane …).
Design-engineer of SFR (6 months)

1999 – 2002 Groupe Cegetel (France/EU)
To accompany the evolution of its products towards new QoS enabled multimedia IP networks and to carry out the architectural studies and the experiments it leads within related RNRT projects.
• Qualified the communicating-applications (VoIP, FTP …) and specified for their service classes,
• Compared QoS protocols implementations for IP-networks and investigated their cooperation,
• Defined an IS instrumentation for QoS management,
• Developed test scenarios for implementing a QoS metrology with measurements and simulations,
• Conducted measurement series on trial IP-NGN test-beds for qualifying the service components and for ensuring the end-to-end integration..

For dependable messaging-based control systems over industrial local area networks.
• Developed a formal specification for a messaging-over-iLAN API, and validated the protocol behavior through simulation-based tests,
• Set-up QoS aggregation functions and characteristic parameters for qualifying the behavior of the candidate-iLAN, and evaluated its performances with both a network modeling-&-simulation tool and a prototype test-bed..

Control of the telecom bill of the Data traffic over ISDN in a context of internal IS migration.
• Engineered a data traffic (TCP/IP packet mode) measurement & billing software, designing its middleware-based architecture and implementing it with Object-oriented technologies.

Evolution, towards an X25 architecture, of the communications infrastructure used for collecting and broadcasting news-bulletins.
• Prospected different evolution scenarios while analyzing their technical-economical feasibility and managing the RFI/RFQ process with solution providers,
• Developed an assessment grid for the X25 private network proposals,
• Developed RFP technical requirements for the new news broadcasting system.
