• Migration from Mercator to the Datastage TX solution, and to IBM Websphere TX (review of the solution architecture, Design, development, documentation, test and training).
• Manage the near-shored Business Objects team for the Hong Kong branch. Support and develop Business Objects infrastructure and reports for other branches.

• Worked on the new release of NAV Suite. My mission was to optimize the NAV calculation, approval and delivery process (funds and classes list) before the integration of 150 new funds from ABN-AMRO bank. The application became five times faster:
o Review of the structure of the application (Architecture and Design).
o Optimizations in ASP pages and SQL Server Database.
o Centralization of computations.
o Redistribution of processes.
• I also wrote a program in Perl for sending files through “Connect:Direct”:
o Automatically creating the sending configuration file.
o Back-upping files to send.
o Processing the sending with Connect:Direct.
o Logging tool.
o Purging Backups, Logs and Transferred files.
o Providing a configuration tool.
• The DART pooling project. Its purpose is to handle a commonly managed pool of funds. Some source files had to be downloaded regularly for specific computations:
o Writing ASP pages for the set-up of funds, classes, pools and source files.
o Developing in VB6 for the download program, a generic transfer (LAN, FTP) system avoiding redundant downloads.
o Architecture, Design and Development of the Oracle DB structure.
LegisDOC, a software written in Visual Basic 6.
• And SEI-AMD, a 3-tierd application written in Java/JSP running on Sun iPlanet Server.
• Both Edition Applications are used by the European Parliament for editing and translating legislative texts. My tasks:
o Programming in VB6 and C++ for the treatment of XML files.
o Programming in Java (JSP/HTML) for new functionalities on the web client.
o Modification of scripts in PL/SQL.
o Modifying macros regarding functionalities in MS Office Editor.
I also prepared both applications to migrate to the new Application Installation Protocol developed by the European Parliament coming together with the migration to XP (Windows XP and Office XP)
• Webfeedback, a software written in Java. It’s a web mining application. Its purpose is to get comprehensive information about a web site in order to help to the marketing strategy. My tasks:
o Debugging the program and add functionalities.
o Internationalization (GUI redesign).
o Designing the new architecture for version 3 of the soft.
o Developing an “advanced search” functionality (for version 3).
o Developing a proprietary Data Base Management System.
o Developing a User-tracker system.
o Managing a team of 4 developers.
I finally became technical responsible for the software. I managed new development processes and was the contact point between the technical team and the marketing team or clients.

Tools Support and Development Team Leader
• Team leader role:
o Manage a team of 5 persons in charge of the Support and Development of Tools used by infrastructure teams (Computer Room Supervisors, Unix, Backup and Storage) in the areas of Monitoring, Alerting, Automation, and Asset Inventory.
o Solution design and architecture together with Tools' stakeholders.
o Defining procedures for enhancing the delivery quality.
o Re-organize the team in order to fulfil the commonly defined release process (result: better formality and build quality together with a better visibility in current achievements and future releases)
• CROC: Development of an asset management and process automation tool for the CRS team to manage the hardware infrastructure used by the EC.
• Project Server 2010: Migrate, configure and enhance the environment for Project Portfolio, Resource and KPIs management and reporting.
• CMDB: Infrastructure related project management, data analysis and integration into BMC Atrium CMDB application.
Managed a project developed in C# for integrating a proprietary formatted DB of trademarks, coming from the Benelux patent office, to an SQL Server 2000 DB in XML format.
