  Ranked as the third-largest bank in the world in 2012, as measured by total assets, BNP Paribas purchased a global BAE Systems license for AML Retail and Correspondent Banking, for its International Retail Banking (IRB). From the start this project had an aggressive timeline, with high visibility by the Management Team within the Bank.
  • Thierry acted as business consultant, leading all presentation and requirement gathering functional workshops, and producing all detailed specifications.
  • Thierry distributed required changes to the implementation team, which went up to 10 persons, and supervised their progresses and results.
  • Thierry led the internal QA, validated the perimeter of all customer deliveries and supported BNPP IRB during UAT.

  This 680-man-day project implemented from scratch a compliance and AML transaction monitoring solution to both the banking and insurance entities of the company. It provided independent business rules to both sectors while enabling oversight by the Group entity.
  • During phase two of the project, Thierry assumed full responsibility for gathering and overseeing the business requirement for the insurance sector.
  • Thierry prepared and led scoping workshops for the three customer entities, and wrote the final specification documents.
  • Thierry provided end-user training on case management, detection-rules maintenance, and reporting configuration (Command & Control).
  • During the test phases, Thierry provided ongoing support to the client.

  BAE Systems NetReveal was selected to provide a full compliance and AML solution to the insurance entity of the SOCGEN group. The team designed a reusable insurance component that fulfilled the customer’s specifications, and eventually will be integrated into the legacy software as an insurance vertical.
  • Within the implementation team, Thierry was charged with detailing specifications, assigning tasks and supervising their completion.
  • Thierry managed the internal QA testing, and insured the conformity of the customer deliveries.
  • Thierry organized client workshops to demonstrate BAE Systems’ product functionality and software delivery

  With the goal of designing, developing and deploying a homemade solution to detect customers showing early signs of insolvability, this project provided bank employees with comprehensive case management for their clients. It included workflows adapted to the specifics of each client, and dynamically generated, customized client letters designed to meet legal requirements.
  • As principal business analyst, Thierry was responsible for understanding the business needs and making recommendations during the initiation and definition phase of the project.
  • Thierry worked closely with business to create an effective and cost-efficient solution that met all product specifications.
  • Thierry authored general and detailed specifications for all phases of the project.
  With a 12-month return on investment, this 2,000-user solution was recognized as a major success, and two internal awards were granted to the project team.

  To increase the efficiency of its 100-store, 5-warehouse supply chain, the retail clothing company bought the PkMS software and formed a team to customize, deploy and support its new warehouse management system (WMS). During his 7 years with the company, Thierry’s role evolved from PACBASE administrator (system maintenance and support to developers) to analyst programmer, to his final role of application analyst.
  • As part of the WMS team, Thierry customized functionalities of the PkMS software, and provided 24-hour production support.
  • Thierry was in charge of analyzing and correcting data discrepancies without disrupting the supply chain, as well as resolving customized program defects.
  • Thierry analyzed and developed RPG ‘back-door’ programs as tools for on-site administrators to resolve the most common problems without the aid of IT Support.
  • Thierry developed interfaces with legacy applications.
  This supply-chain overhaul allowed the company to be more reactive in replenishing in-store supplies, and to better meet its customer needs, while lowering overall costs.
