    TECHNICAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
    • Transformed on-premise systems from global data centres into Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS, using ASP.NET, App Service, and SQL MI. Lead the team who rewrote the runbooks, migration documents, migrations plans and dashboards.
    • Created and hired the development team in Portugal and managed global teams from UK across Europe. Created the MS Project plans and assisted in the development of the DevOps defect tracker (see more below).
    • Migrated systems, databases, and web sites from old hosting companies to Microsoft Azure, complete architectural design for new 3-tier platform. Established system hardening design throughout dev, test, and production platforms.
    • Managed the SharePoint Migration Team out of Portugal to migrate several thousand SharePoint sites to SharePoint Online.
    • Designed and built the transformation DevOps project Dashboards. This allowed a greater level of detail for project metrics which were beneficial to the client in tracking progress.
    • During a 6,000+ system migration, I improved the migration process documentation, decreased system build time from 6-weeks to 5 days, improved and standardised the migration and runbook documents, which led to 100% migration success rate for all 1,000+ Linux and Oracle servers
    • In 6 months, I designed and built a complete European trading platform, covering SWX Swiss Exchange, Virt-X, and the Xetra and Eurex derivatives trading platforms of the Deutsche Börse. This infrastructure based on Windows Server 2003, covered 400+ Citrix servers (at that time to largest Citrix Farm in Europe), running in 6 locations, covering 3 trading floors for 350+ equity and bond traders in Zurich, Genève, and Lugano.
