• Worked on the new release of NAV Suite. My mission was to optimize the NAV calculation, approval and delivery process (funds and classes list) before the integration of 150 new funds from ABN-AMRO bank. The application became five times faster:
o Review of the structure of the application (Architecture and Design).
o Optimizations in ASP pages and SQL Server Database.
o Centralization of computations.
o Redistribution of processes.
• I also wrote a program in Perl for sending files through “Connect:Direct”:
o Automatically creating the sending configuration file.
o Back-upping files to send.
o Processing the sending with Connect:Direct.
o Logging tool.
o Purging Backups, Logs and Transferred files.
o Providing a configuration tool.
• The DART pooling project. Its purpose is to handle a commonly managed pool of funds. Some source files had to be downloaded regularly for specific computations:
o Writing ASP pages for the set-up of funds, classes, pools and source files.
o Developing in VB6 for the download program, a generic transfer (LAN, FTP) system avoiding redundant downloads.
o Architecture, Design and Development of the Oracle DB structure.

• Both Edition Applications are used by the European Parliament for editing and translating legislative texts. My tasks:
o Programming in VB6 and C++ for the treatment of XML files.
o Programming in Java (JSP/HTML) for new functionalities on the web client.
o Modification of scripts in PL/SQL.
o Modifying macros regarding functionalities in MS Office Editor.
I also prepared both applications to migrate to the new Application Installation Protocol developed by the European Parliament coming together with the migration to XP (Windows XP and Office XP)

I finally became technical responsible for the software. I managed new development processes and was the contact point between the technical team and the marketing team or clients.
