EXPERIENCE
Proximus
BPM Expert for Business Process Driven solution 04/2021→Today
- Functional and process automation lead
o Using functional architecture expertise to define a perennial solution fit for the future
o In an environment not familiar with process execution, demonstration of the value of using
such an approach in such a way that the process meetings were the place where a lot of
thoughts began and were studied in separated meeting
o Definition of the processes defined using BPMN and DMN “Model & Style” approach,
which is not only respecting BPMN syntax, but defines a framework to draw consistent
BPM models designed for execution
o Modeling the processes using Camunda Suite with the help of a Java developer for the
execution
o Definition, modeling and deployment of a dashboard and reports using Camunda
Optimize tool to improve Business process maturity (process mining)
o Playing a leading role in the operations definition and the functional and implementation
improvement of the solution and its integrations.
Enterprise architect 04/2019 →03/2021
- DEFINITION OF CORPORATE FINANCE TARGET ARCHITECTURE
o Started with the definition of Proximus Finance custom functional map
o Led the enterprise architecture target and roadmap via synthetisis initiative which gathered
and summarize business requirements and long-term vision defined by Ernst & Young,
Data architecture, SAP long term vision, Data governance to fit all in Proximus Eco-system
o Same is being done for HR and Logistics
o Main building block of the target architecture is a transformation engine based on a
business process driven application architecture including BPMN and DMN definition
o As a business process expert, providing advices and guidance to both the business and IT to
efficiently define and model their processes and business rules for execution
- TARGET ARCHITECTURE SEGMENTATION
o Segmentation is a complex transversal topic which is the source of a lot of frustration
inside lot of companies. Segmentation is usually driven by Finance performance
considerations and tend to be rigid as accounting is for conformity and audit reasons. Most
of the companies use this rigid approach to classify customers for any businesses, while
other business doesn’t necessarily need to use segmentation.
o That’s where person/party profiling may be used to separate pure Finance performance
needs and more process specific requirements.
o Mission: define this architecture defining a roadmap to progress from the rigid current
ecosystem of legacy systems to a target vision for a critical transversal topic.
System Analyst, inception specialist at AXA Belgium 05/2018 →03/2019
Main skills used and improved during this mission
- Business modeling (including process modeling)
- Requirements management
- Functional architecture
- Solution architecture
- Technical architecture especially regarding ESB
As part of Claim transformation, which consist in the migration of Claim management from the
MAINFRAME to world leader claim management system Guidewire Claim Center.
From solution architecture, produce analysis artifacts consisting in:
- Functional analysis in UML (Use cases, interaction diagrams, class diagrams…)
- Description of ESB components to put in place according to market standard patterns (Pub/Sub…)
In the inception phase, using his expertise in BPMN and functional architecture (capabiliy maps), Mokhtar
has been involved in studies in inception phase (requirements gathering and definition) to be able to
estimate remaining work to be done in project phase (analysis, development, testing …).
This approach has contributed scope some important topics, such as operational activity and workload
management.
AlphaCredit (Part of BNP Paribas Group) leader in consumer credit in
Benelux
08 / 2013→ March 2018 (4 years and 8 months)
Enterprise and Solution Architect
Main skills used and improved during this mission
• Strategy definition
• Business modeling (including process modeling)
• Technological watch (follow standards and studies of tools related to the credit
market and digital market)
• RFP definition and follow up
• Requirements management
• Functional architecture
• Solution architecture
Responsible for:
- In a team of two enterprise architects, developing current and target architecture along
with the roadmap to the target architecture
o Ability to provide models and textual content to get everyone involved in the
effort
o Ability to simplify the understanding by providing the good level of information
to all stakeholders is particularly appreciated by all the stakeholders
- Conducting architecture studies, building architecture files covering the entire architecture
from business to technical through functional and applicative dimensions in order to fit in the
roadmap.
This requires the capacity to understand the views of each party, the capacity to build model,
to explain them, get people involved and understanding each other’s view to progress and
build the right architecture.
Document architecture of large projects is a challenge as several inputs are coming from
different sources at different layer of the architecture (business, functions, applications,
technical, security, compliance). Synthetizing and organizing them in a study understandable
from all the stakeholders is quite challenging.
With deep knowledge of different modeling notation: UML, Usability modeling, Archimate,
BPMN, produce the right model for the right purpose and attendees.
Architecture committee successfully validated all the architecture files.
Studies were:
• A leasing solution
o This leasing solution study was made not only to identify the best solution
for Personal Finance Belgian market, but also to serve as the foundation for
other Personal Finance looking for leasing solutions
o Based on SaaS architecture, it went from
▪ Security architecture
▪ business definition and requirements
▪ impact on the information architect
▪ application and integration architecture
▪ phased roadmap to the ideal target
▪ infrastructure architecture
▪ compliance with Personal Finance architecture principles
• Electronic signature using Belgian eID and other solution from advanced to
qualified seals
o Successfully conducted with an important role in the functional scoping
and clarification which is the mandatory basis for a successful solution
architecture
• eAuthentication
• Business Intelligence solution
• Monetic solution
• Selfcare solution
o Successfully conducted
o Key role in the functional and process scoping
o Important intervention during the realization phase by synthetizing point of
views to consider to move forward with some blocking discussions such as
password definition and reset (looking obvious but hard to conclude if the
different involved parties – business – analyst – designer ...) are not
understanding each other
• AML (Anti money laundering)/CFT (Combating the Financing of the
Terrorism) compliance solution architecture study
o Another project for which the mutualization was at the heart of the study
o Based on central personal compliance study, which was challenged and
helped to be improved so that it can be efficient
o This solution architecture, defined using Personal finance standard
approach, has been identified as the basis for the solution architecture for
other entities in Europe and South Africa
o Involvement in the search and selection of the solution which implemented
what was described in the solution architecture
o The implemented solution was successfully implemented on time before
the expected deadline
• Credit request process and collection study and improvement (from BPMN to
applicative, through Functional dimension)
• Robotics Process Automation (RPA)
Definition and documentation of webservices up till WSDL and XSDs definition.

Enterprise Architect
• eIdentification
• Solution de Business Intelligence en utilisant IBM Cognos
• Solution de monétique
• Solution de Homebanking
• Etude d’architecture pour être conforme à AML (Anti money laundering)/CFT (Combating the Financing of the Terrorism)
