The research function maps the structure of the parts list as "trees" and the components of the parts list as a "table" in one view. A sampling file is created by selecting a component. The sampling file contains standard forms for sampling, a branch to the material master and the supplier, SAP QM functions, SAP cFolder branch and an integration of CAD data. The sampling file forms the bracket for all information objects on the process and for the data exchange with the suppliers (via the use of Adobe Interactive Forms).
