Worldwide Solution Lead for Middleware (>50M$ – high growth business)
n Define and drive the Go-To-Market strategy for HP Consulting in the Middleware/EAI space and align HPC and partner organizations to this strategy.
This strategy centered on “Agility” spans both Business and IT consulting.
§ Partner with INSEAD business school (Fontainebleau) in designing a Business and IT agility assessment methodology. – Delivered IT strategy training at INSEAD MBA.
n Manage the execution of the Middleware strategy: Training plans for Sales Force, Consultants, Account teams, Internal & External communication plans, Definition of pre-package solutions, Setup of centralized delivery group.
n Manage investment in this field of interest.
n Establish business plans and revenue target with the HPC country organizations.
n Manage the relationship/incubation with internal ( HP Netaction Software organization, HP Software sales force) and external partners ( Tibco, Webmethods, Rational).
n Support pre-sales in strategic deals.
n Lead a Worldwide cross-functional team and the HPC EAI community.
2000 - in parallel with my HP management position
Lead a project to create a Software startup in the area of knowledge management. (Target value: 70M$ in 2004).
n Define the strategy and write the business plan
n Pre-recruit 6 top performers in the different functional areas
n Build the spin-off project with HP management (intellectual property, spin-off conditions, commercial agreement)
n Initiate discussions with potential customers
n Manage first round financing process (met venture capital firms and business angels)
I did not raise enough funds to proceed with the creation of the company.

Europe R&D & IT Manager (10M$, 40 people)
n Manage the R&D section chartered with Information management, Knowledge management, Problem/SLA management, Enterprise Application Architecture (EAI) and Security.
n Deploy standard HP project management; ISO 9001 certification in 1998 and 1999.
n Build a project center inside the R&D group (1M$ -break even in year 1) targeted at customization for major deals (key features developed for 5 out of the top 10 accounts)
n Setup a funding model allowing joint investment with customers, reuse, and retention of intellectual property and compliance of customer specials with target architecture.
n Responsible for the deployment of major infrastructure programs (Y2K, standardization) in the European delivery organization (800 people).
