I documented the requirements for a new financial accounting system and provided all the necessary accounting rules. This project is currently in the development stage.

Functional Analyst

Part of the core team to design and document the functionality of a new automatic stock market trading application. (Master-I Trading). Organised workshops and communicated requirements to the offshore development team (WIPRO Technologies Bangalore). Worked closely with the development team to ensure that processes were understood and followed. Introduced new processes when required.
Worked on a project to develop the existing functionality of a life insurance policy administration system (Master-i) to meet new client requirements (BNP Paribas). Carried out initial Gap analysis in order to identify high level shortcomings in existing product compared to client’s requirements.

Management Information business analyst

I worked for this insurer and LM reinsurer on a data warehouse project. My role involved the design and production of scheduled reports and well as ad hoc reports for both the business and the finance department. I worked with management on proposed changes in the finance department’s processes including monthly accounting processes and forecasting.
I worked with key stakeholders to ensure the smooth flow of accurate information between departments.

Systems project accountant

I was involved in a project to redesign the financial accounting processes for the French branch of this Japanese multi national insurance company. I resolved several major post merger problems including management and interdepartmental conflicts. I redesigned the entire accounting processes and the reporting timetables. Due to ongoing changes I also designed and constructed a technical model to calculate reinsurance outwards.
I was in charge of planning a project to re-implement their financial accounting system for the entire European operations. This included a ‘Gap Analysis’ between current system and future requirements I planned the blueprint and organised key players and stakeholders in so that essential decisions could be taken. I also worked on a project to ensure that the financial accounting systems and processes were SOX and IFRS compliant.
I used Agresso, BelAir (UW), Excel and Access VB / VBA.

Access VBA programmer

Write test and debug Access VBA sales application.
- Implemented and tested final system.

Year end account reconciliations and analysis.
- Financial accounting systems appraisal (Solomen).

Oracle implementation Manager

- Overall responsibility for the Implementation of Oracle Financials in NVC Arts.
- Responsible for the Migration and testing of all financial data and all associated areas.
- Maintenance of cash based accounting system and Royalty Creditors ledger.

Revenue Accountant

- Produced monthly revenue flash report using Oracle, Access and Excel VBA.
- Redesigned rebuilt and amended data models and auto feed routines.
- Designed and constructed new “millennium compliant” revenue reporting process.

Project Accountant

Created structure for reconciliation of 3rd party revenue creditors.
