Role Responsibilities
Implementing backup & recovery solutions based on EMC Avamar, HP Data Protector, EMC Networker, Data Domain and Tape Libraries
Configuring, Maintaining and Supporting backup infrastructure
Migration of Backup and Recovery Environment as per customer tech refresh.
Deployment and Configuration of new Avamar Systems
Backup policy initial setup, defining media policy, backup scheduling, testing of backups and restoration
Operational management & technical maintenance
Design, operational history, backup program, disaster recovery procedures, and patches for multiple applications
DR planning and deployment
Ensure 24x7 operation of customer’s Mission Critical Applications.
Capacity planning and provisioning
Backup operational metric reporting
Vendor / sub-contractor management
Following ITSM practices
Assessment of backup environment and proposal on fine tuning, DR strategy to provide complete data protection both on-site and at off-site data warehouse.
