In charge of operation and maintenance of technical infrastructure: hardware and software infrastructure (servers, storage, backups, systems, monitoring, virtualization …), systems and users administration (SAP/ Oracle), Collaboration applications
Acquisition and implementation of IT Infrastructure for SAP applications:
This project aims to replace the old IT infrastructure based on HP hardware with a new infrastructure that can deliver very high performance level thanks to Flash technology and thus reduce batch jobs runtime.
At first, we achieved a proof of concept with main hardware manufacturers to demonstrate that the hardware they propose can deliver the expected performance.
Following a selection process, we opted for the installation and implementation of an Oracle Platform made from Oracle Exadata engineered system for database consolidation, Oracle VM and Oracle Linux for SAP Application server’s virtualization, Oracle ZS3 storage system for high performance disk backup and SL150 for tape backup
Main activities:
SAP systems migration from old platform (Oracle 11g, HP-UX 11iv3 Itanium) to new platform (Oracle 12c on ASM/RAC, Oracle Linux 6) using different methods (Oracle O2O, Export/import, System Refresh)
Migration monitoring and improvements to reduce downtime window during production migration
RMAN backup of Oracle databases from Exadata to ZS3 storage system
Database replication to backup site using Oracle DataGuard
Database performance optimization to reduce batch job runtime and backup window
Installation and Configuration of Oracle Enterprise Manager for platform management
SAP Combined Upgrade and Unicode Conversion from SAP R/3 4.72 to ECC6 Ehp6 with IS-U:

Technical platform: Oracle 11g / HP-UX 11iv3 on IA 64bits, Production database size 8 TB.
The main challenge is reducing production system upgrade time to meet allowed downtime window. The project started by a technical upgrade & Unicode conversion of a copy of production system (Send Box) in order to early identify and fix problems that may arise during production system.
Business processes running on CRM system was transferred to IS-U system and CRM system was uninstalled allowing resource redeployment to support ERP upgrade overhead.
Main activities:
Preparing hardware and software requirements for the upgrade (servers, storage, backups, patches, kernel ...)
System copy of SAP system landscape (Send Box, Dev, Quality, Dry Run, Production)
Combined Upgrade and Unicode Conversion of SAP system landscape
Preparing and testing SAP external interfaces (SAP Content Server, Access Control, SAP Central Job Scheduling by Redwood, File Interfaces, Archiving)
Managing maintenance and project Change transports
SAPGUI installation and deployment
Technical optimization to minimize downtime during technical upgrade of SAP Production system
Performance optimization of periodic batch jobs
Scheduling Continuous Quality Check sessions (Downtime assessment, GoingLive Verification) and implementing SAP Support recommendations
Technical install of production system: Database and ASCS/ERS instances on HP-UX 11iv3 with HP Cluster ServiceGuard Extension for SAP, application servers on SUSE Linux on KVM virtual machines
Production GoLive and post go-live support
Upgrade of HP-UX 11iv2 to 11iv3 and Oracle databases 10g to 11g:
In preparation to SAP Upgrade Project to ECC6. Compressing main large tables, using Oracle Advanced Compression reduced database size from 8 to 4 TB and improved drastically input/output performance.
Virtualization platform implementation:
Existing systems capacity assessment and Platform sizing in terms of compute, network and storage.

Installation and configuration of Microsoft Hyper-V on blade servers and FC storage system

The project aims storage consolidation of different application into a multi-purpose storage array with a total net capacity of 120 TB.
Storage system offers many features like thin provisioning, thin reclaim, dynamic tiering between SSD, SAS and SATA disks, Storage Snapshot and integration with Oracle to provide fast backups and database copies…
