Context: in announcing Isabel 6 (IBS6) and the genuine major advance it will bring with it to the world of eFinance, Isabel has given form to how it sees the next 10 years. The Isabel 6 strategy revolves around three main focal points: a single European SEPA architecture for all Isabel customers throughout the European Union, a web portal that showcases the Network Economy, where finance interacts with business (eBanking, eInvoicing, eGovernment, etc.), and Isabel’s acclaimed security.
I worked for the Isabel Security & Audit team and was responsible of the following tasks
• Bank On-Boarding (BOB) IBS6 process audit. Processes needed to be redesigned to gain efficiency since the official contract signature up to the business & technical setups of the bank in IBS6. This process tuning needed to take care of all potential change requests during the BOB process itself.
• Once this audit completed, tasks were to validate around 14 BOB signed contracts, first for 1st level banks (such as ING, Fortis, KBC…) and in a second phase, for 2nd level banks (Dexia, Axa, Bank van Breda…). Theses assessments were conduced having a double target: internal and external audit.
• Internal audit to identity divergences between production data and signed BOB to identify and track black changes (undocumented changes performed without bank acknowledgment), grey changes (requested by bank but without official change requests) and undocumented white changes
• External audit to provide such a certificate to each Isabel partners who grant that BOB contract is well reflected in production systems, identifying divergences and explaining theses changes.
