Senior .NET Developer / Architect

UPS is the largest carrier in the world, our division the Supply Chain Solution and Warehouse Management System is the fastest growing business within UPS and in the industry itself. This is a green field for developing a billing solution for all the Supply Chain Solution activities carried by very large and complex system throughout the organization. The the solution delivers the monthly invoices to customers like Dell Computers, IBM , Cisco and the list goes on. The challenge was to integrate the billing solution to all various systems with different interfaces, web services / Data Base / flat files and EDI. The Middleware was managed by biztalk and the application was developed using .NET framework. My tasks varied from TA role, developing all the frameworks, and ensuring the delivery process adhere to the company’s standards. The project is managed with a RUP-based process and described in UML. A wide range of technologies were used to support the project, it includes ADO.NET/Oracle data management, Remoting and Web Services (with SOAP/UDDI interfaces to J2EE services), integrated security management and advanced XSD-driven XML reporting interfaces. We also developed a data capture tool, as a fall back scenario to make sure all billable events across warehouses and countries are captured. I also led a team of 10 developes and testers, from managing their daily tasks and produce weekly management reports for my peers. I also helped in finding solution across all project’s stockholders, by leading the cross functional team, producing impact analysis on systems involved and for allocating resources for all changes that are requested by the business.

Ukantoo is a European company specializing in the development of content management solutions for enterpreneurs and SMEs. My tasks included:
• Using Microsoft’s technologies together with XML, I developed the core product for the content management solution, features included multi-lingual, search robotics (full text search) and dynamic structure.

• Complete document management system design, releasing a product range to the retail market. This system design project's R&D program was recognized and certified by the French Ministry of Scientific Research

• Organizing and system integration of the wireless program and documentation distribution system (SMS+ networks). The underlying solution was provided by the Ukantoo partner in the UK, Macrospace Ltd

• Helped create an oursourcing sources in Russia, with the aim of reducing development cost.
