o Ageing DC was 15+ years old with lots of unidentified WAN connections and LAN
facing connectivity diagrams not mapped properly.
o Handled the DC migration project successfully moving from 4500 and 6500 to Cisco
Nexus 9000. Integrate with SP via BGP. Back to back vPC.
o Parallel set up of new DC and running existing one with DC Interconnect until phase
out of old DC.
o ~ 0 Hr downtime on network. Downtime only on physically moving servers. Since cut
off was done in one weekend, users did not experience any disruption in service.

members for all BEL sites and DC. This was my first mission in France after working
for Inconek (below) for the previous 11 years.
In 1865, Jules Bel set up his comté cheese ripening and trading business in France’s
Jura region. His son, Léon Bel, took over the business following his death in 1904.
After World War I, the nascent cheese-making industry began to take off, and Léon
Bel envisioned the tasty, affordable, easy-to-carry and easy-to-keep potential of
processed cheese. In 1922, he embarked on a manufacturing adventure and
founded Fromageries Bel, a French corporation (société anonyme).

context/ Design, installation, configuration and maintenance/support of technology for
Inconek and it’s partners/customers.
Inconek was initially the network department of the mother company specializing in
electrical and mechanical engineering that specialized in structured cabling. Over the
years, it grew up to be one on the biggest VARs and network/system integrators in
Mauritius.
Achievement & results / I joined Inconek at its inception when it was still small
department being one of the first network/system admins and overall department size
less than 6 people. Over the years, we worked tirelessly to make it one of the most
prestigious integrators in the country and the region. All of the following projects are
projects for Inconek’s customers/partners.

context/ Vistra Mauritius recently acquired the activities of Deutsche Bank in
Mauritius and awarded Inconek the contract for the reconfiguration, merger and
redeployment of the network. Cisco platform-based UC / collaboration systems were
also introduced. The particularity of this site is that of being physically separated from
its DataCentre, where all the main equipment is located. The two sites are located
more than 40km away and are linked through 2 different fiber optic suppliers.
Achievement & results/ Network design, installation, configuration and
commissioning, security, WLAN and full UC, while allowing seamless integration with
technology from other vendors, such as HP servers, access control, basic services
data and storage, network management, L2L VPNs with other Vistra sites around the
world, such as Amsterdam, Hong Kong, South Africa Implementation of the MPLS
service allowing a faster flow to Europe in terms of data and VOIP traffic,
redistribution from EIGRP to BGP.
