• Working with the development and projects teams as the technical lead infrastructure design representative to gather the operational and infrastructure requirements for new and existing applications.

DEUTSCHE BANK: designed, implemented and project managed the standardisation and rebuild of the CRMT Infrastructure (Customer Relationship Management Technology) covering 30 points of presence world wide over 6 major hubs.
• Audited the existing infrastructures in each region against the new business needs.
• Principal architect in charge of the standard design for the following technologies: SUN, EMC, VERITAS Cluster, Oracle, NT replication, client software packaging and DNS naming convention.
• Managing a global team of 15 engineers to deliver a 10-minutes automatic fail over cluster solution using VERITAS Agents. Implemented a 20 minutes SRDF fail over (operated with 2 command lines) for London and New York including the DNS update. Virtually separated the Global Market, Asset management and Equity business resources in different environment making them completely independent of each other.
• Organised and supervised on-site the entire re-installation of 17 servers (E4500) during 8 months in London, New York, Frankfurt, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo.

PWC: Involved from the start in the most important dot com venture. Betrusted.com was a green field project with an initial budget of $50 millions aiming to deliver certificate authority services similar to VERISIGN.
• To provide an inter-continental resilience for the services, we have been asked to build 2 new data centres one in the USA and the other in the UK. The maximum fail over time we targeted was 60 minutes. Numerous points were keep secrets on purpose all along the project making the analysis a real challenge.
• Proposed an initial Design and Architecture covering the whole Data Centre infrastructure: room layout, storages, servers, software integration, network and security and all core infrastructure services.
• Presented the resource planning, timeline, issues & risks associated along with the full deployment strategy to the board to gain the sign off.
• Recruitment and lead a team of 7 I.T. specialists in the U.K. and US.
• Managed 250 man/day of detailed design and implementation strategy in London during 3 months.
• Assisted my client in preparing the final negotiation phase with the hardware software vendors and the service providers (ASP and ISP).
• Full data centre build: EMC with SRDF, DNS, jumpstart, N.T.P., SSH, Netbackup interfaced BCV, databases and business software integration: back up, fail over, security and tuning. LAN, Firewall.
