Chief Technology Officer

I was a co-founder of the company, together with the Managing Director and the Head of Internet Projects for the Equity Derivatives Department of Société Générale, in Paris, France.
The purpose of this SG project, targeted for all European Union, was to build a shared Trading Platform based in Paris and to open a subsidiary for each EU state (ClickBorsa for Italy). I managed, in France, the development of the Paris Platform and the set-up of the WAN connecting all Italian Business Partners. In the meantime (july–dec. 2000) I managed the Italian Web Site development, the Milan subsidiary set-up (LAN/Local Servers/Call Center/PCs…) and the first key resources recruiting. On january 2001 we started the Online Trading service for customers. During 1st and 2nd quarter 2001, I completed the recruiting of the IT Team, gaining the complete control of the Software development and the monitoring of the service delivery. Further projects: Front-Back-end integration (C/JNI), new Trading features for Funds and Insurance Products, the look-and-feel web site review, a new back-end for Market Data, etc..

Information Technology Manager

In the CEO staff, I was responsible of the new Information Systems projects while the company changed from SIM (Italian Broker) to Bank on 1998, the Euro start-up, and the Y2K projects. I managed the set-up of the new Banking Account System and the Back Office System (AS/400), the outsourcing process of the Order Routing and the Order Management System, the integration between the Front-Office and the Middle-Office System. I negotiated the Service Level Agreement and the Outsourcing Policies with business partners. During 1999 I designed the new LAN, managing the upgrade of PCs and Servers, I negotiated the Technical Support Agreements and I introduced the Workgroup and Web Publishing System (Notes/Domino). On 1st and 2nd quarter 2000 I was involved in the ‘Virtual Bank’ project (managed by BPV Headquarter), with Accenture as main partner, and I managed the System Integration, the Market Interfaces set-up, and the service start-up (BV/CORBA/UX/AS/400).

Software Engineer

Reporting to the CTO, I took part in the Stock Exchange privatisazion process. The IT projects had to improve market efficiency and transparency, supporting Market Surveillance activities, promotional campaigns and data publishing. I developed a Data Mining System (C/Oracle/Sun) to be used by the Market Surveillance Office, and an automatic Web Publishing system for market data (Paradox). I designed and set-up the LAN and the Groupware architecture: MS-Office, Notes and Optical Archiving. I also followed the Web Site development and the official Stock Exchange Communications Publishing System.

IT Consultant

I was a Software Developer for the OMC project (Operation and Maintenance Control), a software system to control and drive the GSM terrestrial aerials (BTSs) of a mobile phone network. The commitment came from Mannesman – Germany. The development framework was an Object Oriented, C++ like, environment.

Software Engineer

Reporting to the Head of Development department, I worked for the development of drivers and filesystems for magneto-optical SCSI Drives and Juboxes, in C/Sun-Solaris environment. I got a strong knowledge of Unix kernel, C language, shell programming and graphical interface development (Motif). I learned the main techniques for maintaining and testing complex software applications.
